JUNIOR SECTION

Longridge Golf Club is proud of its Junior Section which continues to grow and develop. Our PGA Professional Stephen Taylor supported by experienced PGA member Simon Lucas, provides the bedrock for the section, offering a varied and comprehensive coaching, practice and playing programme to suit all abilities.
Having previously held GolfMark status, we now hold its successor award SafeGolf, which requires coaches to hold appropriate child protection and safeguarding accreditation. The club is also a Golf Foundation/Golf Roots Centre and delivers the Girls Golf Rocks initiative for England Golf.

Junior Club Membership

Regular Club membership is available to all Under 19's providing full access to the course, entry into Junior competitions and clubhouse facilities. Non-playing parents are welcome to walk around. Prices for 12 month membership are:

Under 8 years - £20 9 to 11 years - £60

12 to 16 years - £110 17 & 18 years - £210

Academy Training Activities and Programme

The LGC Academy provides the next step in a Juniors development into Golf offering excellent value. Membership of the Academy includes Club Membership as well as extensive access to PGA tuition three times each week in a maximum group size of just 6. In addition you have entry into all Junior competitions; access to the Golf Sixes initiative, a driving range card with 10 initial credits and a golf academy cap!

The schedule of weekly coaching sessions is:

Wednesday Evening 4:00-5:00pm OR 5:00 -6:00pm

Thursday Evening 4:00-5:00pm OR 5:00-6:00pm

Sunday Afternoon 1:00 - 1:45pm OR 1.45pm - 2:30pm

The cost for this is 6 monthly payments commencing April and ending in October (NB: No Payment in August as we take a mid-season break). Prices are:

Under 8's - £50pm; 9 - 11 years £55pm; 12 - 16 years £65pm

Sunday Beginner Programme (Age range 5 - 16 years)

Aimed at either new to golf Juniors or those returning to golf who want to enjoy the game but perhaps do not have time to join the Academy (although the opportunity to upgrade to the Academy will be available).

There will be an upfront fee of £80 enabling the Junior to attend 8 classes over a period of 21 weeks between April and October (none in August). Class sizes are limited to 10 Juniors and will be pre-booked. Price includes club hire; unlimited range balls and tuition with our 2 PGA professionals. The first session for all new Juniors will be free.

Sessions will be held on Sundays between 2:30pm - 3:15pm OR 3:15pm - 4:00pm.
